Thank you all!

Thanks to everyone who visited DRUMline in 2013.  It was turbulent times but we persisted and came out stronger than ever.    Nothing good comes easy, yet I have been so lucky that I have such great friends in the drumming community supporting me and contributing to the site.   I have an attitude of gratitude and am psyched for 2014!

Our greatest change since last year is the addition of Ed Nijjer as Canadian Editor.   Evil Ed, as he is known in Canada, has been conducting insightful interviews with Simon Wright, Kenny Aronoff, Lez Warner and others.  See his amazing work in the DRUMedia section.
Also, we have added a new store DRUMlineSHOP.net and will be greatly expanding our products for sale in of 2014.  Lots of exciting changes - so check back to see what's new and contribute to the site if you will.  Just send us a message via the contact page or email me:  mike@drum-line.net

Keep Rockin,

About Us

Editor:  Mike St. John

DRUMline is an interactive blog.  I want us to communicate, share ideas, learn, play and surprise the heck out of each other.   Much of my personal growth and joy throughout my lifetime has involved the drums.   I am searching for more personal growth and joy, hopefully you are too! It will take a little time to coordinate the technology since we are relatively new.   Our goal, however, is to involve the drumming community and connect it via the internet.   The more communication the better.   We will have famous drummers featured but also a lot of great drummers you have never heard of, maybe even you.   I ask for your patience and participation as we refine this experiment.  Over time, the opportunity for exposure will increase and you can help me broaden our scope.

Interactive - Some cool things you can do on the site, 1- you can watch videos.  2 - you can let the music play while reading, just click play and scroll down  3 - you will see related videos come up after the ones I have selected so you can dig a little deeper  4- Click in and out of a particular BLOG to reset videos to defalut selection. 5- Slide Shows - Let 'em play or use controls to view.  DRUMblog - email me if you want me to BLOG your news, mike@drum-line.net.

Journalistic Integrity     I took journalism class in high school and I understand the job of the reporter.   Traditionally, opinions are expressed in editorial columns.   Those lines, however, have blurred in today's media.   There are times when my opinion may leak into places it doesn't belong.   I'm sure I'll make mistakes but my heart is in the right place.   My goal is to be accurate and represent people here in a positive light.   There will be some jokes and comments along the way because sometimes I think I'm funny and occasionally, I am.   This is a BLOG, not Time Magazine, but I will do my best to uphold a high standard.  I welcome your comments and criticism.  Mike St. John - Editor

Education - Education is important.   We value it.   We will offer educational material about playing and business.   Dom Famularo, the amabassador of drum education, delivers a great message below!
